With several hundred applications on the market and more than three decades of experience and know-how, ROBOWORKER is today one of THE leading specialists in the automation of machining processes.

For palletizing and loading/unloading of coating carriers, ROBOWORKER has developed stand-alone solutions that can also be conjoined to other machines needed for the process. Precision pick-and-place robots are used for palletizing the workpieces.

The loading and unloading of grinding, flat honing or blasting machines is handled by proven systems equipped with 4-axis linear robot systems.

All machines feature sophisticated image processing systems for the highest precision in parts handling.

Easy operation is possible via a 19" touch screen with new HMI (Human Machine Interface) and Windows 10-based control technology. Optionally, all machines can be connected to an ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning).

High-speed repalletizing with RPS

ROBOWORKER palletizing systems can sustainably increase the efficiency of all manufacturers of high-quality small parts (< 100 mm).

They are suitable for palletizing and sorting a large variety of parts onto carriers of all types.

For example, in the tungsten carbide insert sector, palletizing is done from sinter trays onto different types of production pallets or from production pallets into masks and back.

However, systems such as blisters etc. can also be processed without any problems. It does not matter whether the parts are fed into the system in nests or unsorted; a PosFinder system reliably detects the position and rotational orientation of the parts and ensures correct picking and placing.

Various inspection functionalities, such as measurement of dimensional accuracy or random sample processing using the latest software technologies and image processing systems, enable quality control of the parts in the process. Tray identification via RFID can also be integrated for traceability.

Palletizing machines RPS Compact, the new footprint-optimized compact version

The basic system consists of tried and tested modules for tray and parts handling which can be flexibly combined with each other. Depending on individual requirements, conveyor belts, magazine or stacker systems are used for tray handling and linear robot systems for parts handling.

The virtually teach-free system is set up, ready for operation and equipped for new products in the shortest possible time.

High-speed palletizing with loading/unloading machines for CVD coating carriers

For small parts requiring CVD coating, ROBOWORKER offers two different types of machines, the RPS-CVD Compact and the larger RPS-CVD, in which the workpieces are palletized fully automatically from one carrier system to the other:

  • from production pallets to coating carriers
  • from coating carriers into production pallets


The loading machines have special loading software for coating carriers. Placing patterns are usually calculated automatically. The software is designed to make the best possible use of the coating carrier area and to create a homogeneous placing pattern. In addition, customer-specific generation of placing patterns is also possible.

All system types are designed in such a way that additional stations can also be integrated, such as a loosening station, an optical interval inspection for the detection of coating defects or a tray identification via RFID for traceability.
