RoboInspect - the automatic station for objective inspection of cutting inserts, available from € 69,900

Based on experience with complete packaging and inspection systems for cutting inserts, ROBOWORKER has designed the RoboInspect exclusive inspection and measuring station. The system is particularly suitable for relieving and supporting your inspection department. The cutting inserts are simply inserted pallet-wise into the system and removed again after inspection. NIO parts are palletised separately.

RoboInspect inspection functions:

Geometry inspection - In the first inspection step, exact measurement of the components is carried out with the aim of reliably detecting machining faults and mix-ups.

Measurable parameters are:

- incircle diameter
- outer diameter
- cutting edge angle
- cutting edge radius
- length, width of rectangular parts
- diagonal lengths of rhomboid components
- etc.

With a measuring range for component sizes up to    35 mm (circumferential diameter), a measuring accuracy of < 0.005 mm is achieved.

Colour image analysis - In this step, the compliance with a reference colour is checked and surface defects of colour-coated components are detected (see figures “colour image analysis - original image” and “image after colour analysis - defect detected”).

Analysis of coating defects, which are indicated by colour deviations, is also possible.

Cutting edge chipping inspection - In the third step, the upper circumferential outer edge of the component is scanned and every deviation from the specified contour is recorded. With the specially developed opto-electronic sensor, high inspection speeds with optimum edge mapping are possible.

The inspection time for the outer contour lies between 0.8 and 1.5 secs. depending on the length - the size of the defect can be set for the specific product. Chippings up to 0.015 mm depth are reliably detected.
